Claire qualified as a doctor from Liverpool University in 1999 and trained in Medical Oncology in Glasgow, picking up an MD along the way.
Claire left the NHS in 2009, and spent 10 years as a Medico-Legal Advisor with the Medical Defence Union, supporting and defending doctors during the most difficult time in their professional lives. Claire has extensive experience of the legal and regulatory framework in UK healthcare, as well as a practial day to day knowlegde of the difficulties faced by the profession. Latterly, Claire was the MDU Medical Education Lead, devising and delivering high quality CPD courses on professional aspects of clinical practice.
Claire is a qualified mediator and is convinced that compassionate communicaiton can transform relationships and resolve even the most intractable disputes. Claire understands the impact of conflict on teams and those who interact with them and is committed to supporting teams to overcome their difficulties and flourish.
